Peter was arguably the greatest ever imitator of Jeshua and Jeshua confirmed that Peter would be the rock on which His Church would be built - Matt 16:18.

In Acts 10:14, Peter declared that he had never eaten anything that our Jewish laws have declared impure and unclean. There is no way that Jeshua ate, for example, pork. Why should I.

Before we go any further at all, if any of the following words cannot be interpreted as either "Love God" or "Love your neighbour", then I have failed to transfer that meaning or you have failed to understand my intended meaning.

I need to be set apart and holy.

I want to see the signs and wonders currently being experienced in Fiji and 800+ other places as documented by George Otis and the teams from the Sentinel Group.

My path back towards properly pleasing God involves short term compromise as I double check some years of misunderstanding the Bible.

So I'm noting my current responses to these instructions. Please contact me should you believe I'm missing a point. I will review and amend this assessment at least quarterly.

I'm noting all this publicly to make my progress accountable and to prompt discussion and challenge.

Excerpt from NIV, Matthew 22.

The Greatest Commandment

34 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. 35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: 36 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"

37 Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Bible verses Comment My response
Jesus has done it all. Torah does not apply any more. When Jeshua was on the cross and said "It is finished", he hadn't risen and he is coming again. What was finished? I would suggest that he had finished living his perfect life as a human being. I need to continue trying to do the same with the blessed knowledge that Jeshua is our perfect sacrifice and I'm forgiven for errors as long as my heart is right and I repent of those errors.
Dietary rules don't apply any more. As a Christian, I need to imitate Jeshua. Jeshua is my Lord and, from my heart, Yahweh raised him from the dead. Romans 10:9.
One of my Christian sisters said that it didn't feel fair that she was treated differently simply because she was having her period. I'm not sure fairness applies but the Purity Rules were made obsolete by Jeshua's sacrifice of His body – Hebrews 10:10.
Matt 5 : 17 Torah doesn't apply any more "I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them." Quite often used used as reason that Torah is no longer applicable. But why did Jeshua carry on in Matt 5 : 18 - 19 to say "18 For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven." Jesus fulfilled the Torah, the only human ever to do so. Torah still applies.
Matt 22 : 37 - 40 Torah doesn't apply any more as Jesus gave us 2 commandments I would ask about how we love the Lord our God as Matt 22 : 37. Is it not by trying to live using Yahweh's instructions.
Matt 15 : 1 to 20 Jesus says that all foods are clean. Jesus is more concerned about our hearts than ceremonial cleanliness. Hebrews confirms that there is no longer clean or unclean. There are foods which are forbidden.
Acts 10 : 1 to 11 : 18 Peter's vision means that all foods are clean. Yahweh prepared Peter to go into the homes of Gentiles. Yahweh was showing Peter that he was about to cleanse the hearts of people whom the Jews considered to be unclean. This wasn't according to Torah but oral torah or local tradition. Peter’s reaction shows that neither Jesus nor Peter ate forbidden foods.
Galations 3 : 19 Why, then, was the law given? It was given alongside the promise to show people their sins. But the law was designed to last only until the coming of the child who was promised. Seems that Torah doesn't apply any more? But v21 says "Is there a conflict, then, between God's law and God's promises? Absolutely not! If the law could give us new life, we could be made right with God by obeying it." We aren't able to fully and properly obey Torah so Jesus died as the sacrifice for our sins so we are saved. This doesn't mean that sin has gone away. Torah still lists sins that need to be avoided and demand our repentance when we fail. Or - which of the Commendments do we think Yahweh has done away with? We're not saved by Torah but we can't ignore its listed sins either. This intention honours, and shows love for, Yahweh. Love Yahweh is still one of the two great Commandments as stated by Jesus.
Mark 7 : 19 Yeshua declares all animals clean. Hebrews confirms no longer need to be ceremonially clean to worship God. There are forbidden foods.
1 Tim 4 : 1 - 5 Paul tells Timothy he can eat all things? The Greek word used that is translated as "meats" in the King James Bible is "bróma" and it literally means: food, especially allowed or forbidden by Jewish Law (Strong's Concordance 1033). What this word actually refers to is food as it is defined under Mosaic/Levitical Law, which includes the instructions regarding what meats are clean and unclean. The false teachers were not commanding to abstain from unclean things, quite the contrary. They were actually teaching to abstain from eating all animals, including clean ones, and from marriage. This was a belief held by groups like the Gnostics and Montanists, not the followers of The Way.
Col 2 : 16 Don't judge what I eat. I won't but we all have to face eternal judgment.
Col 2 : 14 Torah was nailed to the Cross. Jeshua as the Word of Yahweh was nailed to the cross for my sins. I don't understand how anyone can think this verse means that Torah has died after Yeshua specifically said He came not to abolish The Law and that until heaven and earth pass away not the smallest letter or punctuation mark would pass from The Law (Matthew 5:17-20). Hebrews 6:4-6 reminds us that if we sin after we know what The Law says we crucify AGAIN the Son of God and put him to an open shame. This passage also says it is impossible to be renewed again through repentance if you are openly sinning after having received the knowledge of the truth.
1 Cor 8 : 8 But food does not bring us near to God; we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do. This verse is part of a chapter all about whether we should eat meat previously used as sacrifices to idols. Paul says he has no problem with this act but warns against such action if it causes someone to misunderstand what is sin and to go astray as a result.
1 Cor 10 : 25 Eat anything sold in the meat market without raising questions of conscience. This verse is part of a chapter all about whether we should eat meat previously used as sacrifices to idols. Paul says he has no problem with this act but warns against such action if it causes someone to misunderstand what is sin and to go astray as a result.
Acts 15 : 19 - 21 19 It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. 20 Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood. 21 For the law of Moses has been preached in every city from the earliest times and is read in the synagogues on every Sabbath. James accepts that I am a work in progress. Do not make that journey harder than necessary. Let me progress stage by stage. Difficult to see how this can be interpreted that Moses Law is no longer applicable as the suggested compromise is straight from Torah.
The compromise is not the final solution. The key phrase is “Gentiles who are turning to God”. This is a compromise on the way to more fully understanding and obeying Yahweh's instructions.
What is Torah for in this day and age? Torah is holy and righteous. Torah cannot save us because it is impossible for us to obey all the instructions. Torah is a benchmark or plumbline for what is righteous and loving to Yahweh. Torah does tell us what is sin and hence tells us of what we need to repent so that we are more aligned with Yahweh. Jeshua is the only reason that Yahweh accepts our repentance.
Romans 14 : 14 I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean. Paul was making the same point he had made earlier to the Corinthians. Just because meat that was otherwise lawful to eat may have been associated with idol worship does not mean it is no longer fit for human consumption. As seen from the context, Paul was not discussing biblical dietary restrictions at all. But beware of leading others astray.

Nehemiah. 2 Chr 7:14

Paul's Words for the Black Country retreat - 6th & 7th Dec 2012.

6th Dec 2012.

As I was thinking and praying this morning about the 24 hour retreat, Black Country leaders, I had an impression which is a fairly familiar one, but I felt it came afresh. It was either geese or birds flying in 'V' formation where, as you all know, the lead bird sometimes changes at different times.

And I felt the Lord was saying that He wanted Black Country leadership to come into order and formation. They were the 2 words: 'order' and 'formation' and that they, the leaders, weren't there yet; that was not actually the case. So the result was that the leaders were battered and quite weary because of the headwind that was coming against them. So even though the leaders were in the same vicinity of airspace they weren't actually yet in formation and order. And so

(1) they were battered but also

(2) they made little corporate headway because of the opposition that there was.

And I felt the Lord wanted to stress the value of the strip stream, that in the natural when you get cyclists riding in road races in the slip stream of other cyclists it conserves their energy and strength and in the same way birds flying in that same formation do and so on.

That in the Black Country the Lord was looking for a relational connectivity and regularity. I'll say those 2 words again, He was looking for a 'relational connectivity' and 'regularity' so there was a closeness, because the formation requires closeness in order for it to work etc.

And I just felt there was an invitation in these 24 hours into the Lord's formation. It was an interesting sense that I felt it wasn't just leaders coming into formation for the Lord, but I saw the Lord Jesus was in the formation too, it was His formation. But sometimes He took the lead but sometimes He took the tail and sometimes He was in different positions in the formation, so He had a certain hiddenness of Jesus in the formation, so it felt as if the Lord was saying I want you in formation with Me and not just in formation for Me.

So I think that was the general impact of the picture. so I wondered whether the Lord was looking for a much greater closeness and therefore a connectivity and regularity of being together which was necessary in order for that formation to work, for the slip stream effect to be maximised and for the corporate leadership to move forward much, much faster and cover some real territory.

7th Dec 2012

I had a picture this morning re Black Country Leaders.

I saw a postage stamp amongst a whole pile of stamps but this one was a Penny Black, which I think is one of the rarest and most valuable. Then I heard the Lord say, 'Not all stamps are of the same value.' Instantly, I understood that the Lord was not referring to stamps but to Christian activities especially to Leadership responsibilities!

Then I saw the Penny Black in the midst of the groups and the Lord calling Leadership to stand on THIS STAMP.

I believe the Lord has deposited something of great, inestimable value in the Black Country and does not want this to get lost in all the other things that are done but have lesser value.

It's a question of priority & worth.

All stamps have value, so Christian work has value, but not all Christian work is of equal value. The danger is to lose the Penny Black amid all the other stamps of lesser value.

My sense is that the Penny Black represents the 'order' and coming into 'formation' in the earlier word. This is a crucial priority for leadership.

I have called you to intimacy. To hear my heart beat so you can beat my rhythm in the places I have called you to serve. I have called you by name. I have called you to follow ME! I will open doors for you and I will shut doors behind you for you know my name.

7 Lessons from the World's Fastest-Growing Congregation

In 1995, God began to speak to a young leader in Hyderabad, India, named Satish Kumar, telling him that he would have a very large church, but nothing materialized for the next 10 years.

In 2005, he planted Calvary Temple, starting with 25 members. Now, in 2015, he has more than 130,000 members, adding 60,000 in the last three years alone.

Perhaps even more remarkably, the massive building that houses this congregation - seating 18,000, with additional overflow facilities - was built in just 52 days, despite significant government opposition along the way. (The building is also centrally air-conditioned, which is a tremendous plus in India, and everything surrounding the building, including the beautiful gardens, was completed in the 52-day period.)

1. Prayer and Fasting

The congregation always put a strong emphasis on prayer and fasting, but when they were about to embark on their building project, Pastor Satish called for 40 days of prayer and fasting, with believers fasting and joining together in corporate prayer as much as they were able to.

The problem was that he called for this during the rainy season, a time when it is unbearably hot and unbearably wet. Yet night after night crowds of thousands gathered on the empty property to join together for hours, sitting with their umbrellas up as Satish preached in the pouring rain (without an umbrella). It made for quite a sight.

When they came to the end of the 40-day period, he called for another 40 days of prayer and fasting, and when that ended, he called for 40 days more—so, 120 consecutive days of corporate prayer and fasting. It was then that he received the word to build the entire facility in 52 days.

The building miracle and the church growth miracle are directly related to prayer and fasting.

2. Preaching the Word

Despite conducting five services every Sunday (each service runs close to two hours in length); Satish preaches a full message in each service, averaging 60-70 minutes per se

3. Caring for the Flock

If they miss a service, they receive a phone call the next day from a staff member, asking them if they're OK and if they need prayer for anything. While this may seem overbearing for many Christians in the West, it is very meaningful to the Indian believers.

4. Supernatural Faith

Without being on the actual grounds to see for yourself, it's very difficult to understand how impossible it was to build their facility in 52 days. The air conditioning alone was supposed to take 90 days to install, and because of problems with building permits, most of the work had to be done at night, under lights.

But Pastor Satish had been reading Nehemiah during the 120 days of prayer and fasting, and when he read that the walls of Jerusalem were built in 52 days, he took this as a word from the Lord and announced to his congregation that they would do the same. And they did!

5. The Israel Connection

When I sat in Satish's office, I noticed that he had two small flags on his desk, the flag of India and the flag of Israel. And the operative word at Calvary Temple is "shalom." That's how everyone is greeted when they swipe their membership card upon entering the building.

6. A Strong Work Ethic

Indian pastors are hard workers (as are many Indians in general), and Pastor Satish regularly puts in 16-hour days - with joy - while many of his staff members gladly work 12 hours a day. Some of his staff has been with him for 20 years now.

Yet what struck me while we were together was that he did not seemed burned out in the least, even seeming relaxed as we talked. And his family members I met seemed excited and blessed as well.

7. Wise Use of Media

Through no effort or planning of his own, Pastor Satish's messages began to be broadcast on TV, and as he found more and more sponsors to support his show, the broadcasts began to increase.

We began on our knees as a sign of humility

Turning from our wicked ways

Again the scripture was bought, that we seem to be hearing over and over. Seek the LORD while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near. 7Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the LORD, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

There may come a time where He may not be found.

Lord forgive us our ways, and show us yours. Change our minds, help us make right choices. We prayed Lord turn up the light, show us our wicked ways. Sometimes we don't comprehend what wicked is. How are we being wicked?

Ask for the ancient paths and walk in them Jeremiah 6.16 This is what the LORD says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But you said, 'We will not walk in it.' Paul repeated this scripture twice, which means we should pay extra attention to it.

2 Chron 7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

There has to be a turning!

Paul had a picture of an Opticians where eye tests are carried out. The optician puts large glasses on you which allow him/her to add different lenses over each eye until whatever distortion of vision is corrected and you can see and read the Alphabetical/numbered screen in front of you easily.

But in this case the Optician was the Lord and there was a reversal of this procedure because we had come with glasses that we were already wearing onto which were attached a series of lenses over each eye. The screen in front of us carried the Lord's will and purpose but we could not read that purpose at all clearly because of the multiple lenses over our eyes.

Consequently, we needed lenses removing, not adding, until we could read clearly what was written.

There was question raised in the conversation after this picture was given as to who removed the various lenses. It became clear that this involved a joint process of the Lord removing them one by one as we co-operated with Him; He wouldn't do so without us and we certainly could not do so without Him!

????? shared an excellent experience she had had when she was younger of deliberately giving incorrect answers to the Optician on one occasion where her eyes were being tested. She did so because she thought glasses looked good and she wanted some. The parallel became clear that often the lenses we have added that obscure the purposes of God are added because we think they will make us look good! This became clear as we began to identify various lenses which distort our vision. In ?????'s case the result of this subterfuge was that her eyesight was impaired and now she does need glasses permanently to see clearly.

????? placed some sheets of paper onto the 'path' and the assembled brethren began to state some of the lenses which hindered and distorted our vision. He knelt down to do so but as he began to write down the various suggestions one of his own contact lenses fell out onto the floor? It was a very strange moment that seemed more than just coincidence; that as he wrote down the things which represented our distorting lenses his contact lens fell out! We sensed, once again, that the Lord was confirming His word to us in a practical and evident way.

As the 'words' went down on the paper Paul sensed that all of these represented 'idolatries' which were our substitutes for real Godly sight, and that these counterfeits arose from our 'unbelief'. We also renounced the 'spirit of deception' that lay behind all these distorted lenses.

We spent some time repenting of all these things in clear agreement together.

Later on, the story of Peter's confession of faith that Jesus was the Christ (Matt 16:15-17) came to mind. Jesus affirms that this revelation clearly came from His heavenly Father not from flesh & blood. However, a few verses later when Jesus declares He must go to Jerusalem where He would be killed, Peter raises a stern objection that this will never happen to Jesus! (Matt 16:21-22). Jesus' reply is a stark warning: But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men." Matt 16:23.

The reason this is confirmatory of the journey that we had been on this morning is because Peter was not just expressing his concern for his friend that Jesus should not die, though, of course, Peter did not want this to happen. Rather, it was an expression of the Jewish hope and expectation of the Messiah, whom Peter had just confessed to be Jesus. This expectation, based in Daniel Ch 7, was of 'one like the Son of Man' coming to reign as the awaited Christ who would deliver Israel from her enemies and rule in the earth over all nations: “I was watching in the night visions, And behold, One like the Son of Man, Coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, And they brought Him near before Him. Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, That all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, Which shall not pass away, And His kingdom the one Which shall not be destroyed.” Dan 7:13-14.

This was the lens that Peter had in his eyes as he related to Jesus. Behind 'this lens' was all the theological weight and tradition of Israel's biblical expectation through the centuries. Peter was simply standing in that tradition, yet in doing so was opposing the very Messiah and His saving purpose at the cross; he didn't understand that the awaited Christ had firstly to come as the 'suffering servant' and only later, at His 2nd Coming as the Ruling King.

Jesus 'seeing clearly' and understanding what was at stake rebukes Satan whose inspiration was behind Peter's words.

In a corresponding way, it is often our own 'lens of expectation' of who God is, and the theological grid that undergirds this expectation, however biblically sound we believe it is, that can load our perception of His Ways and deceive us into opposing His will! We have to 'listen' to what He is saying! Not to what we think He ought to be saying!!!

There was an interesting aside at the end of the morning from ????? about 'rocket boosters' on the side of a Shuttle that once exhausted have no further use. I cannot remember all the details of this contribution but have asked the guy (name escapes me) to send it on and I will pass it to you. It echoed with a word we had over a year ago of 'rocket stages' needing to get us into orbit within a time frame before being discarded so that the core purpose God arrived in orbit and didn't fall back down to earth again. ????? wondered whether this morning was a delivery into another stage and something was falling away. I believe there is more light yet to come out of this picture.

????? also pointed out that the 'timeframe' was not just in terms of days and months but in terms of our 'preparedness' and 'readiness' for God to move. He gave the example of when Jesus when he turns water into wine, says my time has not come. But then it is time. We can't put us in a season he hasn't put us in, but we can accelerate the one we are in. With analogy of birth, we don't want things birthed prematurely they will be sick, or die. We often want to see things happen now. But we don't want to accelerate the birth of something at 24 weeks, but we can at 39 weeks. God doesn't work on our time scale/calendar but on state of our hearts, are our hearts ready? Interesting in that miracle she says 'do what he tells you to do'

Maypole Picture

'I saw a picture of what seemed like a maypole with different leaders/people gathered around it. Each of us was holding a uniqely coloured ribbon that was attached to the top of the pole in the centre. Each ribbon was a different colour on one side and had writing on it that expressed who we were, where we had come from and what we stood for. This was important to us so it faced outwards so all the people around could see and read it, but they weren't really interested, 'cos we all represented such different backgrounds, and it seemed to tell so many different stories. It was all a bit confusing people. There was a lot of music going on and we all attempted to dance to it as best we could but it was a bit of a shambles 'cos we were all doing our own thing and we kept bumping into each other. There was no order of one mind and heart as yet.

At this point the Lord turned up and He was not pleased with what He saw. I felt bad and wondered what He would say or do. Then I saw Him visit each one of us in turn and asked us to surrender our holding on to our end of the ribbon. This we did but it was not easy, and it took some time to do. Once we had done that I saw Him detatch from the top of the pole the other end of each of our ribbons. Suddenly a big Cross was revealed at the centre, it was not a pole after all! This Cross was now on show to all around and attracted people to it. It was no longer hidden. The Lord seemed very happy with this.

But He hadn't finished yet. Then I saw Him make a sash with each ribbon and wrap it round each of us, over our shoulder and cross our body to hang just below our waists at our sides, but they were all turned inside out! Every one of us was now showing the other side of our ribbons (now a sash) to all the people around. They were all blood red in colour with no writing on. We all reflected the same coloured ribbon now. The other side of our ribbons, which had writing on that reflected our own unique journey and therefore precious to each of us, was now hidden from view to all the onlookers. But the Lord knew and didn't discredit them, He just put everything in its proper place. Then I heard music again and watched as we all started to dance freely and in step with each other, to the same tune. His Tune. This music reflected the power of the blood of Jesus with the Cross clearly visible at the centre. This attracted more and more people. Now Jesus was pleased with what He saw.'

Some of our lenses....

PRIDE in our achievements, in 'OUR' , in fact God will use us again. In our theology. Denomination. Our optimism. Who we follow, I follow Paul etc.

Programmes. Trust in our programmes rather than him. Expect him to bless our programmes.

Fear. Of men, of missing out

Future. Thinking we have time, or fearing we haven't.

Power and control

Expectations of what God will or won't do.

Our zeal for God, his word etc, Jews had zeal for God. But missed him incarnated.

Mans wisdom. Thinking we know better, we have revelation of truth etc, trying to work it out.

Our skills, charisma, church buildings, new building, new teaching etc

Our self importance

Our self righteousness

Comfort and familiarity. Makes us feel our world is ok,

Busyness Our busy lives hide that things are not ok, cover things.

Relationships can hinder us

False optimism and positivity, we don't understand God can pull things down to build them up.

Not letting go

Convenience. We don't like it when God asks us to do things that are inconvenient.

Time. Is precious to us all, and hard to give up.

Asking forgiveness for our lenses

We followed this identification of our lenses by a time of corporate repentance.

'One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek... '

Hopefully most of you know how that continues - if you don't, read Psalm 27, it's essential reading! But I will carry on: ' ... that I may dwell in the house of the Lord, all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord, and to seek Him in His temple.' (Ps 27:4).

Most Christians know in our heads that this 'one thing' should be our first priority. We know that Jesus Himself underlined this when talking to busy Martha whilst Mary sat gazing into the face of the Lord, listening to Him: 'Martha ... only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken from her. ' (Luke 10:41-2). Thus Jesus implies that this is 'the pearl of great price'. We may be aware too, that in knowing this, we are in danger of serious deception because just thinking about something or knowing something is not enough. Jesus said another occasion said 'now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.' (John 13:17).

In Romans 7, Paul asks 'who will rescue us from this body of death' (sometimes not just my body, but Christ's body the church can feel like that!) - is it not 'Jesus Christ our Lord' (Romans 7:24-5)? So why not come and gaze on His face together? Having been divided for most of the last 2000 years, is it not time that we did what Jesus prayed for and moved into a place of 'being' together as one, which is God's gift of glory to us (John 17:22)? Surely if we do level out the mountains and valleys in this way, then very soon 'the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it' (Isaiah 40:4-5); and 'the Lord will indeed give what is good, and our land will yield its harvest' (Psalm 85:12).

So 'let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching.' (Hebrews 10:25).

First of all I think we need to listen and hopefully you'll hear what I've been hearing.

In the light above the table, where the table normally would be over there, can you hear it, can you hear that buzzing? Can everyone hear that? OK, so that's important.

So this is what I feel the Lord is saying:

'Just like the fly, or wasp in the light over there is an annoyance that interrupts the quiet and the stillness in the room, for many, many in My Church today, My Word has become that annoyance. My Word interrupts the stillness, My Word interrupts the peace and My Word interrupts the life that you are living. My Word is meant to do that, it is meant to separate flesh and spirit, bone and marrow, it is sharper than any double edged sword, and it is alive and active. So it is a good thing that My Word annoys you. It is a good thing that My Word becomes an annoyance because it's exposing that you are not where you should be, that you are not living as you should be, that My Church is not playing the role that it should be playing, and I'm glad that My Word annoys you. I'm glad that it's an inconvenience to you because it shows that your eyes are being opened and that My Word is doing what it should.

So don't feel guilty if the Word annoys you, be grateful that I'm showing you where you should be and what I do want for you because I have incredible plans for My Church in this area, I have incredible plans for My Church in this area and it is My Word, My voice, My instruction that will show you what I want to do in you to achieve those plans.

So I’m glad that My Word is an annoyance, because it is opening your eyes, unblinding you, and allowing you to see what I want to achieve in and through My Body in this region.

I had an impression of a heart that had around it a protective shell which was hard but quite shiny. It was sort of shiny and the light came but the shell reflected the light rather than allowing it in.

What came to mind was a Pharisee as they stood in front of Jesus, the Light of the World, and the light didn't penetrate because their hearts were hard. And I felt the Lord saying that there are some hammer blows needed to break the shell, and I saw the Lord hit the shell five or six times. Then it sort of cracked all round, and as it cracked the blows lessened, and then He picked the pieces off bit by bit so that the picking of the pieces off the shell, off the heart, was mercifully tender. He pulled it off and sometimes it had stuck to the inner heart, and there was a bit of a tear, and He was very gentle, but the hammer was quite ruthless. And I felt as if the Lord was saying 'to get to your hearts, to get to the heart of the church' (not just us here but to get to the heart) 'there are some hammer blows that are necessary because of the hardness of heart, because the light can't penetrate as I want it to because of the hardness. But as that shell begins to crack, then I, in mercy, will gently and progressively release the heart so that it can become vulnerable to My Light and My purposes and so on.'

It just felt as if scripture says about being hardened by the deceitfulness of sin; it's not the sin only, it's its deceitfulness that hardens the heart, and that was the picture.

I felt we needed to put Jesus even into the place where the hammer hits the shell around the heart, even that it was mitigated through the crucifixion that Jesus was hammered for us. Every one of those hammer blows on the nails - so it's graced, it's still grace, it's still mercy, it's still the love of God. Jesus has put Himself in that very place and has been hammered for us. Thank you Father.

Prayer: So we come to the cross, the only place that we can come really, there's nowhere else to go but to the cross. We can't survive your hammer blows outside of the cross, we just come to the cross, Father, and identify with it Lord, and say, 'here we are Father'.

We thank you that Jesus was hammered for us, and though that needs to happen in us in a real way, we want it to happen because we're there, Father. We wouldn't be able to cope, to take it, sustain it, it wouldn't be redemptive otherwise. So we cling to the foot of the cross, Lord, and we remember Jesus, we see Jesus crucified, hammered for us, crucified for us, judged for us, scourged for us. Thank you Father.

I see a picture of crystal castles, sort of shining, glistening glass, crystal spires shooting up; a whole array of them. I see they reflect light, and I see the Word of the Lord like a hammer coming, and just hitting the tops of these spires, and they instantly disintegrate and crumble, and they collapse to the ground, every one of them. And I think it's to do with the pride and kingdoms of man, and that man creates castles of prides and spires of ambition and all that. And they crumble completely into the ground, and in the ground it's like a season and then, suddenly, out of the ground start to grow trees, which are oaks of righteousness.

And I feel that the Lord again is declaring that He's bringing down the empires of man in order to raise up oaks of righteousness which grow out of the earth.

When I turn the corner of the road at the bottom of the Birmingham/Wolverhampton road, there's the road works, and I turned the corner and I think they must be laying a new gas main or some big pipe, and instantly into my heart dropped to tomorrow and Wednesday and I could see pipes, not all in a big pile but almost lined up, you had one over here and a bit here, and a bit here, and so they weren't lined up. They were lined up in terms of 'not in a pile' but you got one, and then you got another one here and you got another one down here, and they needed to be brought into line and the scripture that came to my mind, and it's an obvious one I know, I don't apologise for that, the Holy Spirit doesn't need to apologise for bringing obvious scripture and I think it is Him, and it says 'See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before the great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to the fathers, or else I will come and strike the land with a curse.'

And I feel the Word of the Lord (I feel I wanted to walk round) to the Black Country, to you, at this time, because I'm walking round the outside of a pipe here, imagine it, and I feel the Word of the Lord to you is 'Line up! Line up! It is time to line up! To lose something of your individuality, to lose something of that for the greater purpose, to connect that which I am joining in the Black Country so that My life and My power can flow through you. It is not about you alone, it is about a joining together of My people so that My power can flow. Why for so long are you so centred upon individuality and fail to see the importance of joining up and lining up, so I say to you, this is a day, this is your day to line up, to line up so that My life can flow through that which I have prepared into the Black Country. My life flowing for My glory to reach My people, yes, those that you don't call My people, but I have earmarked them, My people, coming into My Kingdom. So awake, this is a day to line up, to be joined up so that My life can flow, My treasured life. I will not pour it out willy-nilly, I will not pour it out so that it just dissipates into the earth, but I will pour it out through vessels that come together and are lined up, joined up, so that it does that which I have purposed it to do in saving a multitude. Line up!'

...I know we've talked about coming together, and in a way we are playing our own field, doing our own individual thing, very much the generational thing, I think that was really key. At home, we've just had an extension part put on the house, and it's like you have the old plumbing and the old system in place which is great, but to bring in a new building and new plumbing, it has to connect into what was so that it can flow freely between new building and the old building, and I sense that this is key in the next couple of days in regard to linking and connecting so that imagery linking and connecting generations. So it isn't so much even our individuality as congregations, it's our individuality as generations, and I think that is really, really key, and I don't know if we can pray into that somehow from a generational point of view, and I don't want to put this lady on the spot here - how old are you? She replies '13'. I think it's significant that you're here today because of maybe, whether you could represent some of the youth, because I think there's a generational issue here regarding young people, that's something that's been on ???'s heart a lot. But I think we've maybe got three generations, I'm looking at ???, I know ??? only looks 21, but I'm looking at generations, we've probably got it represented here, and I think there's something very, very key to what you've brought and especially linking into that Malachi scripture.

So I don't know how we do that but that's how I feel.

It's interesting the picture you used, you won't know, but the one word this weekend that's been in my thinking about family is the word 'extension', the difference between the nuclear and the extended family. Not to overuse metaphors and words, but the Lord wants to extend beyond...

...there's just something and the scripture that came to mind that I'll read to you is, again, an obvious one, so I'll read it to you: 'Sing, O barren woman, you who never bore a child, burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labour, because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband' says the Lord. 'This is the verse, isn't it, 'enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide and do not hold back. Lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes, for you will spread out to the right and to the left. Your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.' Isaiah 54 vs. 1-3

And there is just that sense that we're entering a time when the Lord's doing some stuff beyond our reason and capacity, beyond our imagination, something is afoot, and this season has seemed a hard/odd season but there's something where the Lord's showing His sovereignty.

...somehow we've got to accommodate.

As I stood I sensed that my mouth was full of words to speak so I'll bring this tongue and I believe God will bring an interpretation, I think He's speaking right into the things that we are praying about.

It seems like the Father's in a hurry!

I just feel the Lord gave me a picture and it was a picture of Him sat in a mail room and around Him He had many, many, many piles of letters, I mean like thousands upon thousands of them, the majority of which were unopened, this was the strange thing, I don't know why, so I was asking the Lord 'Why are all these letters unopened?' I could see them all piled up and many, many years of letter, so that the ones at the bottom had become discoloured, and the ones at the top were bright, as if they had just been posted, all had different stamps on them. Some of them, it's a strange thing, some of them had like they were watchman stamps, and all of these were, in a sense, I felt the Lord was saying 'these are requests that have come. I've no need to open them because I know the request, I don't need to read it, but there has been some costs attached to these requests because of these stamps, some with watchman stamps, come from watchmen and watchwomen'.

And then I saw another letter come, and the Lord took this letter, this is a letter He opened. All the letters around Him, I felt Him say, have got words on, but this didn't have any words on. This letter just had a picture of a heart and I felt the Lord saying 'I've been waiting for this letter, I've been waiting for this letter, I've been waiting for this letter, I've been waiting for this letter, and it's this letter that marks a new day' and the Lord says 'It marks a new day, a new day, a new day, a new day, a new day, a new day'.

And the Lord says 'I have to repeat this again because you don't believe me, it's a new day, it's a new day, it's a new day.

'And I need to repeat this again because you still don't believe me, it's a new day, it's a new day, it's a new day.

'I have to repeat this again because there is unbelief in your hearts, it's a new day, it's a new day.

'I have to repeat this again because you don't think you've done enough, it's a new day, it's a new day.

'I have to repeat this again because you still don't believe me, it's a new day, it's a new day, it's a new day, it's a new day, for the letter I've received is not a letter that you've written but that I have written, but that you have acknowledged. The heart of God, displayed in Christ. At last I've received the letter I am looking for. It is a new day' says the Lord.

New Language - 07/12/15

A book, and then He opened the book, and I hadn't got a clue, I mean there was all sorts of writing but it was as if it was written in a way that was beyond my comprehension and clearly in a different language. I am sure we have all come across books, I think in certain parts of the World you start at the back, well we would call it the back, don't we, rather than the front, they would call it the front. I also know about other writing like Leonardo DaVinci was so ahead of his time in terms of his thinking and learned to write in mirror image so nobody else could read it and the only way to do so was to hold a mirror to his writing. You could then read his writing which was written in a mirror image upside down and back to front.

It was as if this book the Lord was opening was, a couple of things the Lord said, number one He wants to teach us a new language. The language we have isn't fit for purpose. I really feel the Lord saying that, that the language we have is not fit for purpose. But it's not just a different language, it is comprehension. It doesn't work how other languages have worked before, because it is a new language and it needs to be comprehended in a different way. I felt like I said '... that’s really unfair and very confusing ...'. It was as if the Lord was saying, 'Yes but ??? I don't work like you work, I don't speak like you speak, I don't comprehend like you comprehend'. The scripture in Isaiah came to mind that, '...My thoughts are higher than your thoughts, my ways than your ways...'.

I did feel the Lord saying I want to teach you a new language. A new language in many areas of your lives, a new language in prayer, a new prophetic language, a new waiting language. I want to teach you how to comprehend in a new way. But all of this requires that you commit yourself to learn a new language and you lay down your old methods of comprehension.

I feel the Lord does want to speak in a fresh and a new way, but we have to be prepared to lay down our existing ways of comprehending, reading and understanding. There is a sense in which many of us have a dictionary in our hands which we flick to when we are unsure about the meaning of something but it is our own dictionary with our own meanings. And the Lord says we have even got to lay down our dictionaries because you won't find the words that He wants to speak in the dictionaries. The memory bank that you have won't comprehend what He wants to do, so you have to lay down even your ability to, as it were, interpret or explain some of the words that He has spoken.

I think there's a sense that some of us have libraries full of explanations, books, and interpretations. The Lord wants to sweep the shelves clean. I can sort of see Him pushing books off shelves now.

In fact here's a strange thing I have just seen the Lord turn a page and I think this is what it is in the book, is a full stop that covers the whole of the page. I think that's what the Lord is saying, that it is a full stop. And why dedicate a whole page of a book to a full stop? But it is as if this whole page has one great big full stop on it. But I wonder if our interpretation of a full stop is not the interpretation that the Lord has, so in a sense we mustn't jump to a conclusion as to what that full stop means.

Burning Coal - 30/11/15

The next question is 'are you ready?'. Are we going to say '... here we are Lord send us ...' . I just sense that is a challenge to each one of us that that burning coal, that burning coal off the altar, that Black Country altar. I just sense as that coal starts to touch our lips and we start to take those moments of time wherever they are and however but I think with whoever is really important. As God starts to touch our lips we will start to speak and though they will be small utterances and they might be in small situations to start with that we would perceive but God has pre-destined those moments and those occasions when each one of us will start to speak the word of the Lord.

Initially it may be two words or three words or a sentence but as it comes from Him then it will be just like a laser into peoples' lives. So as you are in the pub speaking to your neighbour and that live coal has touched your lips and you just say one sentence that person will just be absolutely amazed at what you are saying because it will be '... thus saith the Lord ...'.

So I just want to pray for us now. Lord I just pray, as we come before you that those live coals will burn us. The thought of a live coal actually Lord is quite frightening. I just pray that that live coal will burn right through us and that we will be willing to speak that word of the Lord. It may be falteringly to start with but that would start to flow and as that starts to join up between ones, and twos and three of us as we start to join together and elsewhere with others almost like a chain reaction that that word of the Lord would just start to flow and the chain reaction would just flow from this place and broader and broader. So Lord we come before you this morning and we say here we are send us in your name.

Gravity - 18/01/16

I had this picture of what I thought was somebody walking on their hands. It's quite clever walking on your hands so I thought 'that's amazing'. As I just held the picture before the Lord I looked a bit closer and this person appeared to be walking on their hands but weren't walking on their hands. Their feet were on something, they were walking on their feet but upside down. Does that make sense? And so, I could see one or two of these people, apparently walking on their hands in a big crowd, which looked really weird because you normally see heads and you don't you don't see heads and feet and it was as if the Lord saying 'I'm teaching you what it is to have your feet not on earth, but in Heaven, and this means that some of you find yourselves looking distinctive and different and awkward when you gather...and the Lord wants to give you a word of encouragement this morning that actually the place that you need your feet is in Heaven and your hands need to be on the earth.'

There is a temptation that I should right myself, to put myself the right way up, and that I should have my feet on earth, and my hands in Heaven, but the Lord says 'No, I don't want to lead you in that way, I want to lead you in a way where you are now, you have your feet in Heaven. The foundation on which you stand is not an earthly foundation but a Heavenly foundation, just as the scriptures have been read to you this morning. In many ways you will feel as if you are upside down, and yet as I have spoken to you before, what others perceive as upside down is actually the right way up.'

So what the Lord is doing is, that He is in the process of restoring a new way of walking, and the new way of walking is not walking according to the gravitational pull of the earth, according to the gravitational pull of the principles, ways and methods of the earth, but there is a new gravity that the Lord is trying to establish and that will draw some people's feet Heavenwards, and the Lord wants to encourage you because many of you are finding your feet being drawn Heavenwards and this turns you upside down. You say 'I feel disorientated, Lord, I feel as if I am the only one in the middle of this group that is the wrong way up, and I feel as if I'm the wrong way up' and the Lord says 'Do not allow the gravity of earth to pull your feet, do not allow the gravity, the principles of the world to pull your feet, but allow Heaven's principles, Heaven's ways, Heaven's calling, Heaven's methodologies to pull your feet into the correct place.'

The Lord says 'I am establishing a new gravity, and it's the gravity of Heaven'.

Bob Dunnet - Word to Black Country

The Black Country:

From where you are at with these Black Country people, the words that keep springing to mind are words of John the Baptist, 'I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, make straight the way of the Lord', because there is someone coming after Me who's greater than Me.

But the way has to be made straight! So you fill in the valleys, you knock down the hills and crooked ways are straightened out; this is a highway, so He can come.

I have a feeling about 'that Way' that this is where these Black Country people are - there is a calling there, 'Make ye straight the paths of the Lord'.

If you look at John the Baptist who did it, you get the interpretation of what that actually means - He is preaching repentance. He's preaching the need for clean hearts because the Lord wants to walk down this road in power. So the residual word that's left with me is, 'Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make His path straight.'

It's the highway of the King, so to prepare they filled the ditches in, they cut pathways through the hills, they straightened out the crooked and made it dead straight. I think that's where they are at!

'Prepare ye the way of the Lord - He is coming. There is somebody coming after me.' Prepare the way and that's all you can do.

Jean Darnell Prophecy

During those weeks a vision came to me. It appeared three different times, during prayer, and it was the same vision each time. Now most of my revelation from the Lord is what I just 'know': He makes me know something, and I speak it forth. But now and then I have a vision, and when I do I have a pretty good one! Some people have a very garden-variety type of visions: they're getting them all the time, you know. But I just have them now and then. And it's usually a milestone: a turning point or very large directive in my life.

And what I saw was the British Isles, as in a bird's eye view. A kind of haze was over the whole, like a green fog. And then little pinpricks of light began to appear from the top of Scotland to Land's End. Then the Lord seemed to draw me closer to these lights, and I saw that they were fires that were burning. They were multiplying from the top of Scotland to Land's End. Then I saw lightening come and strike those fires, the brightest spots particularly, and there was a kind of explosion, and rivers of fire flowed down. Again, the sense of direction was from the top of Scotland to Land's End. But some of those rivers of fire didn't stop there. They went right across the Channel and didn't stop there. They went right across the Channel and spread out into the Continent.

The third time this vision appeared I figured the Lord was showing me or trying to tell me something. I was in Dorset by this time, at St Mary's (Church of England) with Rev Ken Prior, and I asked him if I could stay an extra day. You know, there's nothing quite so awkward as an evangelist the day after the meetings are over. But I said, 'Could I stay an extra day in the vicarage and pray? I need to find out what the Lord is trying to say to me.' Because up to that point I was really still on my way to Hong Kong. And the Lord spoke to me very clearly. It was a wonderful day. It certainly changed the path of my life.

When I say the Lord spoke to me, I don't mean that it was an audible voice. But it was a knowing. That strong knowing, like reading at the end of a book and knowing exactly what was going to happen. And you can't change it: it is written. And so it was written upon my heart, the meaning of this vision.

Phase One: The Glowing Fires

The Lord impressed it on my Heart that those fires I saw were groups of people whom He would make intensely hungry for New Testament Christianity. They would start reading their Bibles and saying, for instance, as they read the book of Acts, 'Well, where is this happy church? Where are these people so full of the power of the Holy Spirit? Where are these miracles? Where is this growth, this vitality, this courage, this boldness that these people had? Is that for today - can we have it today? Should the church be this way?'

And as these questions were being planted in their hearts, the Lord Jesus said He would make them very hungry for the Holy Spirit; He would fill them with the Holy Spirit, and out of those gifts would flow ministries that would enrich the Body of Christ. The whole concept of the Body of Christ would come alive, and barriers between denominations and different types of Christians would break down as people met each other. The Lord said He would move these people all over the country. After he had taught them gifts, he would move them to another place where they would carry that fire, and where they would meet others also who were being renewed by the Holy Spirit. He would put them in different situations from what they were used to, so that they would get to know people of other denominations, other cultures and other classes, and be able to communicate to them the blessings that the Lord had given them. And then He told me that during that time He would also test them. There would be great testing of faith, great waiting times. He would teach them spiritual warfare. He would show them the meaning of the power of the blood of Jesus, the name of Jesus, the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Phase Two: The Coming of the Lightning

Then I asked the Lord, 'What does the lightning stand for?' And he said, 'Unlike the first part, in which I will be speaking to Christians and preparing My church and renewing it and reviving the saints, the lightning represents a second part of the vision, in which I will bring a spiritual awakening to the nation that will be a witness to the unsaved, to the un-churched, to the non-Christian.

Through these believers I will bring a witness to this land. They will be an army of witnesses. And I will begin to release their ministries so that when they give their testimonies there will be apostolic signs following and accompanying their testimonies. Where ears have been deaf and hearts have been hard and eyes have been blind, I will touch the people of this land and they will begin to hear the testimony of My people, they will begin to see the manifestations of My power, and their hearts will begin to believe. Thousands and thousands of people are going to come into my kingdom through this army of witnesses, through this people movement - not characterized by any particular evangelist or great organisation at the front, but just My people rising up, led by My spirit and beginning to move forward with a new faith for evangelism, a new zeal to share Jesus with others. And as they give their testimonies, I will release their ministries of healing and miracles, and there will be signs and wonders accompanying their ministries. So many people will be saved, in the villages as well as in the cities, in the schools, in the government, in media, in industry. It will affect the destiny of this nation; it will determine the course of the times.

Phase Three: Streams across the Channel

Then I said, 'Lord, what about these streams that go on across the Channel into Europe?' And He said, 'That represents people who will rise up in the midst of this people movement, this army of witnesses in Britain, whom I will make My communicators.' Now I hadn't used that word very much before in ministry I said, 'Lord, what do you mean by communicators?' And he said, 'They will not only be people endowed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit, with strong faith, but they will also be people talented in the arts. They will be writers, musicians, singers and actors, and also technicians in television, radio and the mass media. I will call and send them and put them in strategic places. I will bless their natural talents with my Spirit, and they will be good: they will excel. They will be leaders in their fields. I will send them into Europe, where they will meet other people in the media, and through them I will release the word of God very fast in Europe. The result will be another wave of a spiritual awakening, with thousands coming to Christ throughout Europe.' Well, I got kind of excited after I'd heard all that from the Lord, and I said, 'Lord, why are you telling me this? I'm on my way to Hong Kong.' And He said, 'Oh, no you're not: you're going to stay right here, and I'm going to bring Elmer here.' And I said, 'What do you want us to do, Lord?' And He said, 'I want you to nourish the fires that I light.' So I'm not the firelighter. The Lord is the Firelighter.

A Time of Waiting

My husband was in Hong Kong another year before he got here. But when he came, several pastors asked him if he would start a school for leadership training for people who had been filled with the Spirit and had gift ministries. He said, 'Well, I'll set it up for a year, and then we'll go back to the United States.' We forgot that we didn't have anything to go back to - you know, we'd sold the house and given away everything. I had given the money to the poorest people I could find - young preachers just starting out in the ministry. So there was nothing to go back to. But we still had that mind-set. It took a little while for the Lord to make us realize that He had other plans.

That was twenty-one years ago. And during those twenty-one years I have ministered all over this country, as Pastor Black has mentioned. But I have never gone away up to the north of Scotland. Many times I've said to my husband, I'd just love to go up there and find the fires that God has been lighting.' And he has said, 'Well, why don't you go on? I don't mind, if you want to get ahead of the vision.' You know, it's very easy, when you get a revelation from God, to think you've got to go out and make it happen. That's very unwise - it doesn't bother God much but it sure can be embarrassing for you. You can fall flat on your face. I've tried that a couple of times, and I think I've learned my lesson on it. So I said, 'No, I don't want to do anything like that. I want to go when the Lord really calls me to go, if He needs me.'

A Brush with Death

Last August our college sponsored a conference with a wonderful man of God named Judson Cornwall. Just before he came, I collapsed in a church service with a near-fatal coronary. Graham Kendrick was standing beside me; I was so glad he was there because he prayed for me right away and I was wonderfully touched: instantly the pain subsided. It took me a little while, though, before I got home. I thought I had a bad case of indigestion! But the Lord did heal me, and I was able to attend the conference.

And a Revelation from Heaven

And one day, between lunch and the afternoon session, I said to our team, 'Let's just pray before we go upstairs.'

I was thinking about very matter-of-fact things like how long should the worship go on, and where would we take the offering and so on. I certainly wasn't thinking about the visions and lights and fires. And suddenly the Spirit of God came upon me. I don't know if you've ever had anything like that where God's power and presence comes on you so mightily that suddenly everything else is forgotten. It wasn't that I couldn't have stopped; but I didn't want to. I began to weep and weep, and strong crying came upon my heart, real, deep sobs. I knew that the Spirit of God had brought the Lord's burden upon me. And I said, 'Lord, what is happening to me?' The closest thing I could compare to the intensity of the anointing that was upon me at that moment was when the Lord called me into the ministry when I was only fifteen years old. And I said, Lord, what is this? It's something very important.'

One word He spoke to me: Scotland.

Phase Two at Hand

Scotland. I knew what it meant. I knew that He wanted me to come up here, and I knew that he wanted me to come up with a special message. That message is to say to as many people as I can, in as many places as I can, that the second part of that vision is right at hand. It's here, folks, that spiritual awakening: it's starting; the very first signs of it are already upon us. Your generation are going to see a harvest of souls in this land such as you have never seen before. And it's going to have a tremendous effect not only upon this nation and the British Isles, but upon many other nations.

The first sign: Men at Prayer

There are three things that the Lord has asked me to share about this vision everywhere I go: three signs of this awakening. The first is that the Lord is sending a strong call to prayer among men. Early Morning Prayer meetings will start all over the land as men desire to pray, and they will start asking their pastors and leaders, 'Can we meet together before work and pray?' In those prayer meetings there will come strong intercession and an increased faith and vision in these men's souls for the nation. They will not only pray in their own churches, but soon they will start combining together in other churches, with other church groups. And in some places these prayer meetings will grow too big for the building, and they will come out in the open and pray in the parks or in front of town halls.

Wouldn't that be nice, to have a prayer meeting right out here, of hundreds and hundreds of men lifting their voices in prayer for the nation? And it will be a sign in itself: these prayer meetings will be a witness to the nation, and many people will come to the Lord just by witnessing these prayer meetings, and hearing the prayers of these men.

The Second Sign: Christ Revealed to the Young.

The second thing is that the Lord is going to send a tremendous revelation of Himself to boys and girls in this country. Between the ages of nine and fifteen particularly, children will begin to have a revelation of Jesus. They will see Him, they will know Him, they will hear Him, He will speak to them. He will come to them in visions and dreams, He will reveal His word to them. They will be converted and filled with the Holy Spirit and gifted by Him. And they will start praying. They will be healed themselves, and they will start praying for each other; and there will be wonderful healings through these boys and girls.

They will not only be the children of Christian parents. The Lord is going to manifest Himself to those who are in non-Christian homes where there is no love nor real family unity, where there is no knowledge of the Lord at all: perhaps not only for one generation but for many generations no Christian person has been in that family. But Jesus is going to meet them and reveal His power and His presence to them and His love for them. When they start coming to our children and to our teachers and telling what they are seeing and hearing from the Lord, our duty will be to receive them and love them as they are- because they will be rough diamonds, and they will have rather unusual, un-churchy language. But their experiences will be real. Some of their experiences will be so unusual you may doubt them. At that point receive their testimonies at face value, give them the word of God, and teach them how to love: because these children will have ministries not only as children, but as leaders in their adult life, and they will bless your country and other countries. So receive these children, teach them. Those of you who teach Sunday school, those of you who have children in your home and neighbourhood whom you are concerned about, begin to ask the Lord to raise your level of expectation of what they can receive, because they are going to start hearing. And just like the adults, they will start hearing the word and receiving the Lord and being able to receive deep spiritual experiences in the Lord.

The Third Sign: Anointed Preachers

The third thing the Lord said He would do relates to the raising up of preachers. Although this awakening will not be characterised by great evangelists at the beginning, it will produce great preachers. You are going to hear evangelists with such fire, such powers of persuasion that they will touch thousands of people and win them to the Lord Jesus. God is giving these preachers not only to Scotland; He will send them to other parts of Britain, and many to other parts of the world, with an ever increasing ministry of winning many people to the Lord.

Beware of Jealousy and Criticism

When the Lord reveals something to you, then you pray into it, not to make it happen, but to pray that as many people as possible will be involved and touched, and hear. And when I pray for this particular part of the vision, for these preachers and evangelists, I just feel the sorrow of Jesus' heart, for He says to me that He has already given to this land in recent times good ministries, strong ministries, that He wished to increase, but they were cut off, and hindered, and narrowed in the dimensions of their greatness because of jealousy, criticism and envy. In my spiritual warfare I have been coming against that spirit of jealousy, envy and criticism - because I think that it will try to rise up again, even in the face of the tremendous anointing God will give these preachers. So I just ask you to be on guard, be alert to that, and if you feel those feelings and emotions rising up in you against some ministry that God is blessing, be generous in your heart, be quick to repent of it, and ask the Lord to take that away, so that you can contribute and nourish and support those ministries, rather than stand back from them with hostility and jealousy. The Lord is going to use them whether you like them or not. But it would be a lot better if you liked them and got right there beside them, because then you could share the joy of winning souls for the Lord Jesus - because that's what it's all about, folks. The Lord isn't sending us for fun and games, any more then He sent the charismatic renewal for us to have Holy huddles and exchange spiritual gifts like Christmas presents all the time. That isn't the purpose of the renewal. The purpose is evangelism. It's to get out there into that harvest that God is preparing. And you sons and daughters of Scotland will be part of a modern ministry movement that will bless the whole world, and Scotland will greatly contribute to this. So be part of it.

A Deluge of Power

You young people, you are going to see miracles and effective ministry such as our eyes have never seen, as the Lord pours out His Spirit, not only upon the Christians, but upon the unsaved, in these days. So be encouraged. Jesus said men ought always to pray and never give up - because this harvest is bound to include some of your friends, some of your neighbours, your families, who need the Lord. So have faith, have courage.

Take Courage

When I first came to England, Jeanne Harper met me, and drove us from Heathrow in a little Mini car, riding on the wrong side of the road, you know! My daughter and I had five pieces of luggage each - we thought we needed all of that - and so the car was heaped up inside and out with all this luggage. As Jeanne was driving furiously through the peak hour traffic, my heart was thumping, first because I was excited to be here, and secondly because of all the traffic and double-decker buses and everything.

I looked out over the tops of the cases and saw a great big red sign with gold letters saying, Courage! Take courage! And I said to her, 'Isn't it wonderful how your government has put up all these morale boosters!' She said, 'Oh, these are ale advertisements.' I said, 'Oh, well, I'll take it in the right spirit!'

So have courage, folks: take courage, and know that God is with us, and He has chosen to cause our eyes to see things that He has prepared for us in this age that are beyond anything we could ask or think. He will do it, according to the power that works mightily in us as His church. Praise the Lord.

Smith Wigglesworth's 1947 Prophecy

During the next few decades there will be two distinct moves of the Holy Spirit across the church in Great Britain. The first move will affect every church that is open to receive it, and will be characterised by the restoration of the baptism and gifts of the Holy Spirit.

The second move of the Holy Spirit will result in people leaving historic churches and planting new churches. In the duration of each of these moves, the people who are involved will say, 'This is a great revival.' But the Lord says, 'No, neither is this the great revival but both are steps towards it.'

When the new church phase is on the wane, there will be evidence in the churches of something that has not been seen before: a coming together of those with an emphasis on the word and those with an emphasis on the Spirit.

When the word and the Spirit come together, there will be the biggest move of the Holy Spirit that the nations, and indeed, the world have ever seen. It will mark the beginning of a revival that will eclipse anything that has been witnessed within these shores, even the Wesleyan and Welsh revivals of former years.

The outpouring of God's Spirit will flow over from the United Kingdom to mainland Europe, and from there, will begin a missionary move to the ends of the earth.
